PASADENA, Calif., June 11, 2009 — The Litigation Consulting unit of First Advantage Corporation (NASDAQ: FADV), a leading provider of e-discovery and computer forensics services, today announced the promotion of Laura Forbes to vice president of U.S. operations. Forbes, who started with the company in 2004, joins the Litigation Consulting executive management team and will be directly involved in strategic planning of global initiatives in addition to her responsibilities overseeing operations in the U.S.
“Laura’s outstanding contribution to our growth hardly comes as a surprise,” said Ray Muldaur, executive vice president. “For more than a decade, Laura ran the litigation support department of a major multinational corporation, organizing and deploying teams to tackle large-scale international document reviews. She possesses a wealth of experience designing efficient workflows, implementing cost controls and establishing tight communication protocols. Laura’s skill in recruiting, training and retaining top talent has enabled First Advantage to build a truly world-class Litigation Consulting team. Every one of our clients directly benefits from Laura’s phenomenal leadership and dedication to the highest standards of client service.”
A seasoned veteran of the litigation support industry, Forbes spent 20 years at ARCO (now BP), ultimately as Manager of Litigation Services, where she led a team of more than 100 paralegal, litigation support, technical and clerical staff. There, she managed a wide variety of complex litigations, investigations and regulatory inquiries, including overseeing litigation in the wake of the Exxon Valdez oil spill in 1989, and responding to the Federal Trade Commission’s Second Request in connection with the ARCO/BP merger in 2000.
Forbes joined True Data Partners in 2004, where she managed the team responsible for electronic data processing on the company’s proprietary T.R.U.E. platform. When First Advantage acquired True Data Partners in 2005, she was instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition into the Litigation Consulting unit. Throughout her tenure, she has been directly involved in overseeing company operations and administration, including technical and sales support tasks.
